Disneyland Fun...

So I thought I would share some pictures from our outings to Disneyland this month! Seth was able to get free pass and I got an awesome discount since they had the Heroes Deal! It was the last park on the long list of free park deals that we've been able to take advantage of this season, it's really great that they do that for firefighters, policemen and soldiers! We got 3-day park hopper tickets that we had to use within 30 days, so the 1st time we went with my bro Tyler and his girl Bree and then we went by ourselves on Valentines day. We didn't end up using the 3rd day! :( Anyways, here are the silly pictures...

Love Tag...

I've been tagged by my friend Brooke, so here we go...
What is your husband's name? Seth Barthalamew Andres - NOT! He doesn't have a middle name, which I think is really unique and cool about him!
How long have you been together? 9 1/2 years, married 5 1/2 years.
How long did you date? 4 wonderful years! :)
Who eats more? Seth, he inhales his food and has the best metabolism! I wish I could put it away like him AND be as fit as him - but he also gets paid to work out and I don't!
Who said I love you first? Me, but Seth was quick to follow though! LOL! I knew I loved him right away, but I knew I would be crazy to say it on our 1st date! :) So I held out for a few months so I wouldn't scare him away! I remember that we had been dating 3 months and it was about time so I said it and then turned away quickly so he didn't feel forced to say it back! Well he grabbed me and forcebly turned me around to let me know that he loved me too! I was so happy!
Who is taller? Seth and I'm so glad!
Who has more speeding tickets? I've had more but they are no longer on my record! Seth got one a year or so ago, but did traffic school for it - he says that means that it never existed! Whatever!
Who is smarter? I'd say he is more book smart and I'm more street smart, he's done more school than me and I'm just more ghetto! :)
Who is more sensitive? Um yeah...that would probably be me!
When there is a fight, who usually wins? Me, but only because I'm more passionate and Seth (usually) eventually gives up! Most people who know us probably think I always get my way, but that is not the case! He is just more private about putting his foot down to me and I appreciate it!
Who does the laundry? We each do our own, Seth just recently in front of all our friends went off on the fact that I do not do his laundry! I was so shocked and actually pretty amused that he thought that might influence me to start doing his laundry! Sorry, I guess I am the worse wife ever - poor baby! I actually did do it a few days later in exchange for something I wanted, see ladies - you can bargain for more! :)
Who does the dishes? We both do, we are equal opportunity lovers and it is nice to have a husband who pitches in! I could not live with a man who thought that it was a womans job to do all that!
Who sleeps on the right? If your facing our bed, I am.
Who pays the bills? I write out the check, but Seth has been making the most $ to pay them lately!
Who mows the lawn? Seth, I helped him out once and did it while he was in the Academy and it was not good! Seth really takes pride in taking care of his yard!
Who cooks dinner? We don't really have dinner together most of the time, but when we do we share that task. It's funny, because being just the 2 of us most meals give us a lot of leftovers that we end up reheating, so we don't cook very much! He is a really good cook since he is a firefighter and shares in that task at the station as well, I'm more of a baker!
Who drives when you are together? Seth, we've found our way to be civil in the car, it used to be pretty bad though and we still have our moments but we've found that it is better if he drives and I read or sleep! :)
Who is more stubborn? That's a hard one...so I looked it up...

stub·born
Pronunciation: \ˈstə-bərn\
1 a (1): unreasonably or perversely unyielding : mulish (2): justifiably unyielding : resolute b: suggestive or typical of a strong stubborn nature
2: performed or carried on in an unyielding, obstinate, or persistent manner
3: difficult to handle, manage, or treat

So I think that is me! LOL! Although Seth is more stubborn than you would think!
Who kissed whom first? Seth kissed me, see my previous Valentines post for juicy details!
Who asked who out first? I invited him to meet me up with some friends, he came and then later asked me out on an official date!
Who proposed? Seth of course!
Who has more siblings? Me, by 2!So this has made me realize(I kinda already knew though)that I have a great husband! I'm glad he puts up with me and helps out as much as he can! Thanks for the tag Brooke, this was fun!

I tag... My Mom, Janitsy and Vanessa - can't wait to see!

I'm a barbie girl in a barbie world...

So my girlfriends Laura and Meagan made me an awesome Barbie cake for my birthday! She is awesome and has some slammin' curves and red hair like me - they personalized her very creatively! :) Check her out...
Barbie cakes are becoming quite a little tradition for us, I'm blessed to have made such good friends here! We also had a little Sushi/Karoake night on thursday that I wish I had pictures of, I had taken my camera but had forgotten to put the photo card in it! :( Check out Meagan's blog for fun pictures from that night! I wish I would have gotten Kati's rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on tape, it was AWESOME! My cheeks hurt so bad from laughing, she is quite the entertainer and I'm glad to have another friend to be so crazy with!
On Sunday we went over to my sister Erin's for a birthday party for Austin, it was a lot of fun and I got a lot of cute pictures! We brought Harley for my family to meet her and I think it is safe to say that they love her, but who doesn't love a puppy? Especially when you don't have to clean up her crap? Here are some of the cutest pictures...
The kiddos playing with Harley, Amber told Trent that it is his puppy, it is just kept at our house - so he isn't sad that he doesn't have a puppy! He fell hook, line and sinker and told everyone that she is his puppy! :) So cute!

The canines checking each other out! I think we need to keep an eye one these 2!

My mom loving on Harley, she got her a little outfit for when she is a little bigger, I cannot wait! We are definitely a dog family!

The 2 babies taking a nap together! Isn't this sooooo cute?! When they were both awake Harley was using poor Tate as a chew toy! He was not to into that!

Grandma McArthur and Harley having fun
The Birthday Geeks, it is awesome to have a birthday so close to my nephew Austin! I love to enjoy the fun of birthdays through him - he doesn't care about how old he is getting, he can't wait to get older actually!! Remember feeling that way?
Playing Settlers with Harley and Tate, I think they are more interested in eating it than playing but it makes for cute pictures!

I was born! To David and Janine Bills who named me Heather Anne Bills, special thanks to them for not naming me HILLARY - one of their options!... Don't you just love this picture and my dad's 70's mustache? And my mom looks pretty fabulous for just going through childbirth!

I also attached my 1st Birthday picture for you to enjoy...

So today is just a good day that happens to be tainted because I'm getting older, 1 more year until my thirties! LOL! I honestly just cannot believe that I am 29! I feel and act 16 still, maybe my actual age will kick in this year! :) Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes!

And she will be called...

So Seth finally picked a name for our puppy, I told him he will not be able to take that much time when our kids come! Anyways her name is Harley, he wanted a "tougher" girl name for her since she will be a pretty muscular looking dog. He tossed around alot of names, these were the ones I liked: She-ra, Dakota and Xena but he decided on Harley which I love! She is proving to be quite the handful, but definitely has her cute moments - mostly when she is sleeping! We are crate training her, which is really hard(just fyi, if you're thinking about getting a dog)! She is crying at night still, but for a shorter time now - she's starting to figure out that we are not going to come and get her! We are not regretting it but it is REALLY hard! Hopefully our persistance will create an awesome dog named Harley! Wish us luck! I attached some cute videos for you to enjoy! By the way Happy Birthday to my man Austin(my 1st nephew - been loving babies ever since!) who turned 6 today! He is in the 2nd video with Harley and the one who was born on the day Seth proposed to me! He holds a special place in my heart and I cannot believe he is already 6! I'm getting old!

Puppy Love...

Yesterday I was running errands and stopped by the 99 cents store to get something and out front this lady was giving away puppies! So I had to get one for Seth, she was free and has the looks of a Boxer(Seth's favorite breed), the lady was really nice and said we could bring her back if he wasn't into it so I decided..."Why not?" So I got her ready(with Janitsy's help - thanks Janitsy!)by tying a bow around her neck and sticking her in a box and I took her home to Seth! I had taken video of him receiving her but he is a booger about surprises so it's not as cute as I was hoping, so here are pictures instead...

Well she is working her magic here, I had asked him what he thought and he said that he didn't know yet, he just got her! So I asked him if he wanted to take her back and he said no...so he likes her! You can tell in these pictures that he has been struck with puppy love!

My man is a big thinker about all decisions, so he was interested in checking out the mom dog to see what we were in for! So we went and visited the family where she came from... This is her mom, she is a pure bred American BullDog. They do not know what the dad is, he broke in and got mommy prego! She had 12 puppies, they gave away 6 already(including ours, the lady said she was out there only 10 minutes!) and have 6 to go! We hope and it looks like she will be a medium sized dog, cross your fingers for us! She is 6 weeks old and we had a tough first night with her, she wants to be right next to us all the time or she is crying and yelping! But we will break that hopefully soon! Below is Seth introducing her to our cat Foster, this will surely be a rocky relationship at first, but we hope Foster will learn to love her! Seth is still deciding on what he wants to name her so I will give an update later! So I think I made a good decision but only time will tell! :)

My Younger Hair Days - Hair Chronicle #2

Okay here are the funny hair pictures from my childhood into teens! Most of these show my hair short(the "muffin top") when I was a kid, it was easier to manage that way - not so tangly! And then it gets longer as I become a teenager, I mostly brushed it out which creates the "poof" or "snuff" (after Sesame Street's Snuffalupigus - see the family pic below)as my bro-in-law Tracy lovingly named my hair. Seth loves my curly mane of a hair style and loves it when it is super long(and unhealthy) and as big as possible! When I first met him I was styling my hair straight and he told me he liked it curly better! I thought "Sweet!" less work for me!

I also added 2 pictures of allergic reactions, to compete with Sarah's allergic reaction to Hair Dye - I think she has me beat though! Sorry if you are offended by my naki-ness, but you can't see any of my goodies so get over it! :) The first one was when I was a child - I was a pretty skinny kid and in that picture my skin looks so poofy and bloated! :( I was allergic to Monzarella cheese! I don't remember a lot about it other then not being able to eat normal pizza for years, luckily I grew out of it and can eat all the pizza I want now(somehow I still end up poofy and bloated though - LOL!)! The adult picture was a year and a half ago after a really bad reaction to antibiotics! I had a 103+ tempature that the dr. said was the flu for 3 days, well not until I broke out in this rash on the 3rd day did they realize that I was allergic to Sulfa! That was after 4 hours in the Urgent Care Waiting Room where the rash spread from my chest to my face and down my torso! I was miserable! I took the picture of myself after getting benadryl in my system, so I was feeling a lot better(so just imagine what I looked like before!) but the rash didn't go away for 3 days! Special thanks to my sister Erin who took me to Urgent Care that day and stayed with me since Seth was working! Hope you enjoy...

For the LOVE of Valentines Day!

It has been fun getting my blog all decorated for Valentines Day! Special thanks to Melissa who taught me how to do this photoshop stuff - it is addicting! So I thought I would give a little history of Seth and I since Valentine's day is tomorrow, are you ready for this novel? I'm copying Kyra's post, cause I loved it!

I can't believe it has been almost 10 years since meeting him! It was love at first sight for me, but he needed a little convincing! I found a lot of old pictures we had scanned in for our wedding, I'm so happy I found these! So as they say "A long, long time ago..."
Seth and I met at his best friends apartment warming party on Labor Day 1998! His best friend Brian was dating a high school friend of mine and I was literally dragged there! I think they were trying to get us together...well as soon as I saw him I knew he was for me! He was so quiet and shy, (I love that type) - he was quite the challenge for me especially because he had a girlfriend(who all his friends hated by the way and they were on the way out anyway - I'm not like that!)! Well I just flirted(attacked)and invited him out with a bunch of us to go dancing 2 nights later! I told him I know he has some stuff to take care of and I paged him(we had pagers then - isn't that hilarious!?)with my phone # and told him to call me when he was un-attached! He tried to give me his #, but I told him I didn't need it. (Later he told me that he was surprised I was so forward and then didn't want his #! That's just how I roll, I mean reel them in!) Well 2 days later the night I invited him to meet us to go dancing I got a call from his best friend's girlfriend saying that Seth told her to tell me that he would be there! :) He broke up with his girlfriend right before coming out to meet us and then he played hard to get all night! I was so frustrated that I started flirting with other guys! Later we went back to our friends house and he was sitting on the couch being his quiet self so I went and sat by him. He would not warm up to me, so I asked him if he wanted me to go and he said no. I told him well you're not really acting like you want me here... he then moved closer and kissed me! I was pretty surprised to say the least! He later told me that he was waiting for me to do that! Yeah right, I'm not that kind of girl! So anyways, he became mine! We've been going strong ever since! We took these pictures(my most favorite pictures) in a photo booth a week later.

So we dated for 4 years, yes I know that is a pretty long time! But we were young, he was 20 and I was 19 when we first met! And only those crazy Mormons get married so young! LOL! :) I was not active in church at the time I met him so it made it all a little harder, I had never planned to be away from church as long as I was. I had originally just wanted space and to experience a something different to know what I really wanted...well that's when I met Seth and I really wanted him! So it just became easier and easier not to go back to church(even though I really wanted to go back, I was just afraid it would scare Seth off - isn't that funny how Satan works!) So here is some of our dating pictures...

We got engaged the day our first nephew Austin was born - Feb.20th, 2002! Quite a special day! Seth had been planning it for that day, he told my sister Erin at the hospital that day that she was kinda taking the wind out of his sails by having the baby that day! But I think it made it even more special! :) Here are some of our engagement photos...

We got married on September 7th, 2002! It was a fabulous and emotional day! I had waited so long for that day! I just realized that I only have a couple wedding day pictures of us on my computer! :( I need to scan in the better ones! Well here is the couple I have...

We loved being married and being able to have our own place(and still do)! Even if it was only an apartment on a 3rd level that we rode in an elevator to get to, which smelled like dog pee(the elevator) and we woke up every morning to the next door neighbors alarm clock and then his second hand smoke! :) Good Times!
In February 2005 I went back to church and Seth came along with me, I was so nervous and scared that I was going to be chastized and looked bad upon but it was totally opposite! I couldn't beleive how loved I felt! We kept it a secret from our families because we wanted to do it without any pressure, Seth started the missionary lessons and gave the missionaries a run for their money! I'm glad he took the time to find out for himself and not just do it for me! He got baptized in July of 2005, here are some pics... Funny thing about Seth's baptism day is that he was actually on crutches - you can see them in the picture! I thought it would had pushed the baptism back, but he didn't let it faze him - take that Satan! :) Well on the actually day of it we showed up and our friend Don Sedgewick (who helped teach Seth all the lessons and who Seth chose to have baptize him) came limping in... he had pulled a hamstring or something playing tennis! Then the water in the baptismal font was really low because something went wrong there, not really sure what but it was gonna make it really hard for him to actually submerge my poor handicapped man! Well they actually got it done on the first try! The spirit was so strong, it was such a great day! We didn't invite a lot of people to this because he was doing it for himself and our future family and he's shy! So I hope we did not offend anyone by not involving them, but it was so nice being more intimate. It was really awesome to actually surprise my family with his baptism! They were so proud of him!
We moved into our 1st home, where we live presently in October of 2005. It was fun coming and seeing our home being built! We love it here! Our ward is awesome and we have made great friends!

We got sealed for all time and eternity in the San Diego Temple on September 9th, 2006! A really special day for us, I'm glad we were able to get to there! I know it's not the way I was taught, but it worked for us - The sealer said to me,"You really gambled and won!" - I wouldn't recommend it though! I love these pictures, doesn't Seth look funny in this one below - he's really happy!:) Also this one with my Grandpa Bills I'll treasure forever, he was really wanting this for us and I'm glad we were able to do it in his lifetime so he could physically be there, he passed away a few months later.

So here we are now married 5 years, working on 6! It seems crazy, wonderful, fast and slow all at the same time! But I'm sitting here remembering how impatient I was with everything... it helps me feel better now that I'm dealing with other things, because I know now that it will all turn out how it is supposed to be and so far it has worked out well for us! So here is to LOVE and I challenge you to blog your love stories, I would love to read them!!
