Freaking Out!

So I had a Doctor appointment yesterday, since I'm going to be 38 weeks on Saturday! SO CRAZY that it is almost over! The nurse set me up in the room and said the Dr. would be right in... well I was told last week that from here on out they would be checking me so I asked her "where's the sheet?" She looked confused and said "Oh, um your 37 weeks right?" and I said "Yeah, 38 this Saturday and I was told I was going to be checked..." So she got out a sheet for me and left and I stripped down, she came back a couple minutes later and said "The Dr said don't worry about undressing, she's not going to check you today." And then I got upset!!! What the crap?! So I told her "Uh yeah... she is, cause I need to be and I don't have another appt until February 9th!" I couldn't believe it!! You really have to be so aggressive to get good care, I hate it! I actually really like my OB when she is there, but it seems like she only works once a week and guess who isn't in all next week? Yep, her! So I feel like I'm being left in the dark on knowing where I'm at and I'm going to be one of those people who go into Labor and Delivery 10 times cause they aren't sure!! So she came in and said,"You want to be checked?" and I almost lost it, but calmly replied,"Yes, please I don't have another appt for awhile and I'm starting to feel anxious and would really like to know where I'm at.." So she checked and said I am dilated 1 and a half and 40% effaced with a shocked look on her face! All of a sudden I felt so scared!!! Then she said, "I'm surprised cause most new mothers thin out before dilating... here, I'll stretch you out!" I totally started freaking out and almost screamed for her to stop cause all I could think about is what I still needed to get done at home to be ready!!!! She finished (it didn't even hurt, just slightly uncomfortable which scared me even more)and said to expect contractions and that it could be anytime or I could go to the end... so that was fun! So as I was driving home I was feeling normal tightness and pains I have felt the past week or so and I realized that those are contractions!!!! They were just coming faster and stronger... I feel like an idiot for not knowing what they were! Luckily they died down cause I was really starting to freak out, I'm so not ready to go into labor!!! I hadn't even packed a bag yet!(it's done now though and I've been running around like a crazy person getting the other small things done too!) So now I feel a little more prepared and ready to listen to my body, I think my pain tolerance has been a tad skewed due to what I went thru to get prego! So I really need to be on top of timing my contractions and hopefully I'll make it to the hospital in time for an epidural, cause I don't think my pain tolerance is skewed enough for what my hoo haa is bout to go thru!!! And at that point I will not be biting my tongue!!! Well that is the end to my rant... just needed to get that out, wish me luck! Oh and here is a cute sonogram pic of our little guy! His chubby cheeks kill me! I cannot wait to kiss them!

My Busy Weekend with Helaman and Synchronized Swimmers!

Along with celebrating my 30th Birthday with friends and family this last weekend we had a crazy day of church activities on Saturday! Seth participated in a Primary activity "Pizza with the Prophets", such a cute idea! He was asked to be Helaman and interact with the kids to help them guess who he was. He loves his calling in Primary, he is a permanent sub which works really well with his work schedule! It's great also because he is a convert, so he gets to really experience it and learn all the fun songs and lessons that he missed out on! We got his costume together really last minute on Saturday morning, but it came together pretty well! I think he made a really handsome Helaman! :) Here are a few pics from the activity...

I got him that shirt in Nauvoo, it says "Property of the Stripling Warriors"! How perfect huh?

Him interacting with the Sunbeam class, so cute!

Him and the other Prophets! Can you find Joseph with his collar popped? We got a kick out of that!

Ummmm... yeah, he really got into it! :) He is so good at riling up the kids! As you can see in the next pic...

This was the pic right before the kids starting chasing him around, which probably wasn't too helpful for the whole activity... but it was funny! Seth had to hide to get the activity back on track! That's my baby daddy!
Funny story... he subbed for a class last month and after church I asked him how it went and he said it was crazy! Which doesn't surprise me, I asked him why... he said they weren't listening and they were running around, switching on and off the lights and wrestling. I asked him how he handled it and he said that he grabbed one of the boys who were acting up by the foot and held him upside down in the air to get the kids attention! I then asked him how that worked for him(trying not to laugh) and he said the kids all starting yelling "me next"! Poor guy doesn't understand how playful he is and looks and has a really hard time being stern with kids! This calling is giving him good training for fatherhood! ;)

Our next activity was the Ward Talent Show that night! Seth got together a group of guys to do "Synchronized Swimming"! It was so hilarious and I think really made the show!! They did it to an Enya song and really got into the funny choreography they put together! They all had rug burns from the stage afterwards! I got some pics from my viewpoint behind the curtain...

Getting ready to "dive in"!

Doing the "cross dives", this is where they got most of their rug burns!

Twirling in a their circle with spirit fingers and "sexy" faces! LOL! Their shirts say "Captain LOVE" Got a really good deal on them at Walmart for $1.25, can't beat that!

Going into their fancy leg kicks!

Coming up for their "Arm Sways"

The Group Shot: Clint, Ryan, Jeff, Seth, Matt and Josh

If you want to see video of it click here, it will take you to my friend Melissa's blog where she has a good video of it! It was so funny! Thanks for getting into it guys and thanks to their wonderful wives who willingly gave their family time for practicing!

I love that Seth is coming out of his shell at church lately, he is a pretty shy guy and their is NO WAY he would have done any of this when he first joined the church! This ward has really helped with that! :) I'm so glad that people are able to see the side of him that I REALLY LOVE, he is so fun loving and has the best sense of humor!

Gotta Party Like Its Your Birthday!!

So I am the big 30 today! Dun dun dun! Yep, I have reached the point that I thought would never come! :) I remember thinking as a teenager how old 30 was AND now I'm there! That went by SO FAST!!! I do not feel, act or hopefully look(right?!) 30 so I think I'm just fine with turning it! My good friend Amy did her "I'm 30" post yesterday and she gave me some good perspective... it is just a number!!!

Amy and I had a party together last Friday night to celebrate with our friends, she is a trooper cause I planned some pretty funny/ridiculous things to do and she went right along for the ride! I'm glad we have such fun friends who also went right along with it, always makes it that much more fun!! ;) We started out at In & Out for a yummy dinner and to start our PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT! We broke into 4 teams and stopped at 5 different places to complete tasks like taking a pic with the biggest package of depends at target, getting a pic with the balls at the bowling alley, getting $1 worth of gas at arco, getting a pic of a human pyramid off of main st and buying a double scoop ice cream cone at RiteAid and get a pic of everyone(at least trying to) licking it! We only had one group that cheated big time! LOL! You know who you are!! Team Meagan, Sarah, Ron and Kevin won! It was definitely good times, here is a slide show of the hunt...

Everyone met back over at our friend Jenine's home after the hunt for more food, games and karoake! Thanks so much Jenine for offering and letting us use your home, such a load off not having it at my house!! We(not me, would have made the baby pop out) played a game of spoons in which it started inside and as soon as you had 4 of a kind or someone else did, you can run out to the Bouncer(yep, I said Bouncer) to get your spoon! :) We only did one round like that cause even though it was pretty funny, we didn't want anyone or the bouncer to get hurt! I was able to get a few photos of that first round though, pretty hilarious...

Getting started...

Someone got 4 of a kind! This pic is so funny!
Getting into the Bouncer! Poor Emily ate it into one of the mesh windows, she thought it was an entrance! LOL! It was dark outside, I lightened these pics up so you can fully enjoy! :)

Everyone is in there fighting for the spoons!

A much more civilized way to do it! I played in this one, but being prego has really cramped my spoon style! LOL! I was the first one out! Meagan won!

Here are some funny clips of Karaoke, Todd rocked "Wild Thing" and I did "My Humps" dedicated to my big belly! Enjoy...

Here are the extra pics of the fun including the cake I made for Amy and I...

Amy and Me with the cake!

The cake, you like the Marshmallow baby bump on my Barbie?!

It was a fun night! Thanks to everyone that came and especially Jenine! AND thanks Amy for sharing with me, made it even better! :) Happy Birthday and here's to 30! May we have another wonderful 30+ years!

Our Maternity Photo Shoot!

We had an awesome opportunity to do a maternity photo shoot with a wonderful photographer last weekend! I jumped at the chance to get in with her, she was offering free sessions for prego's to update her site with and I couldn't believe my luck!! She had done Christmas photo's for my cousins family and I just fell in love with her style and creativity! She is AMAZING and really was so easy to pose for, we had a great time! I highly recommend her! Her name is Erinn Austin and here is the link to her site: ED Austin Photography

Here are some of the shots she got of us(FYI and a forewarning, I'm not shy with my belly or anything else for that matter!!)...

This is the rocking chair that my parents rocked me in as a baby, I love it! Thanks for letting us borrow for the photo shoot Mom!

These ones with Seth kill me, I LOVE them!!! I am so blessed to have such a HANDSOME man and WONDERFUL man!

This one was done in the front doorway of our home! Isn't the lighting fabulous?! Definitely one of my faves!

love, Love, LOVE!!!

We found this awesome spot off of Lake street that we just had to use for the photo shoot! The rain has really made it so pretty and green and we were so lucky that the rain let up for the day of our shoot! I would be so sad not to have these!

See how talented she is? Amazing!! I just love how she got us and how easy and fun it was!

I want to share a few she did of my cousin's family so you can see how she gets the kiddos too! When I saw these I wanted to cry they are so good!!! Hope they don't mind me sharing! I cannot wait for our baby's first photo shoot with her!

Homemade Fun!

Homemade Fun:

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! But you probably will...I'm just saying.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. That gives me a good 10 1/2 months to get it done!
4. It will be a surprise.
The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so, and leave a comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Thanks for the fun homemade game Heather! (I'm not talking to myself, by the way. I know I'm crazy, but I'm not that crazy! I'm talking to my friend Heather who I got this from!) ;)

8 Months!!

I can't believe I have reached this point in pregnancy! It seemed like I would never get here some days in the last few years and now that I'm here I feel like it has all gone by so FAST! So crazy! I have gotten successfully to the "uncomfortable stage", but still trying to enjoy it as much as possible! ;) Rolaids soft chews are my favorite candy, but they are only helping a little now for my raging heartburn! I feel like I just would be a lot more comfortable if he dropped, but everyone says no it won't! It will be worse, so I guess I'm thankful he is still up in my ribs... ? No clue, but I'm sure I'll find out! LOL! He is still really active, just not as wild as he was the last couple months! I get a lot of pressure in my upper torso and ribs that keeps me pretty inactive. Shopping is not fun at all anymore! It seems like that is when he likes to move around and get up in my business the most! He and his Daddy are already in-ca-hoots! He's going to be one of those kids that tells his daddy about every shopping trip mommy makes I think! Probably better for our bank account! Peeing is now my favorite past time and I hate it when I have to do in public restrooms!! So I've been sticking pretty close to home and getting the last little projects done so we are ready for his arrival! We are almost done with his room, I am loving how it is turning out and cannot wait to share with you, I will be posting about soon! Seth is starting to realize that I won't have this huge belly much longer and is starting to get a little sad! He LOVES the baby belly and loves that he has unlimited access to it! It's been hard to keep him away from other peoples prego bellies in the past!! It is just not appropriate to rub up and kiss other ladies bellies! LOL! He does realize though that he will soon enough have his own baby to cuddle and kiss and hopefully that will make up for how awesome the tummy will look after child birth and how much little access he will not have to it!! I have never been a fan of that part of my body in the past, but being prego it has been fun to show it off - it has never been that tight before! :) I'm starting to feel anxious about going into labor! Wondering when it will happen, if something will go wrong, when to actually go in, getting the epidural in time etc etc! I've heard so many childbirth horror stories that I just hope and pray that mine will be normal!! I'm not worried about being a mother at all, I feel that I have been preparing for that for forever! Bringing him home and taking care of him (1 baby) seems like a piece of cake after what I will need to do to get him out! Maybe I'm wrong in thinking that way though... don't burst my bubble though! Just tell me everything will be great! :) Seth will be able to spend the majority of March home with us, I'm so glad he has the job he does! He only has a few shifts before the due date and then the rest of the month off!! He just did shift trades so he doesn't have to use sick or vacation time unless our little guy comes early! I'm so lucky that he will be able to be home to help and enjoy the first couple weeks of our son's life with me! So now it is just a waiting game! His official due date is March 14th, but we all know that means nothing! :) So I started a poll on my sidebar, vote on when you think he will actually get here!

Here are my 8 month shots, I've added in a few more to give you an idea of just how big the belly is! I would usually put the bare belly shots in black and white, but I just don't care anymore! Sorry if they are too blinding!

My regular shot! I definitely see a difference from last months shot!

A rear shot! You know you like it! ;) Just showing how he is ALL up front! Can't tell that I'm prego at all from the back!

Bare belly side view, those veins are so hot!!

And last, but not least my "Is that pregnant lady drunk?!" shot! Seriously, this pic makes me laugh so hard!! Doesn't he look super low in this pic? But he's not, as you can tell from the other shots! Also check out the horizontal line on my belly, aren't those usually vertical? I'm confused... It looks like it is irritated, but it's not! I'm not itchy there and it doesn't hurt at all, weird huh? My belly button is finally on the verge of popping, I have a really deep one! It has been funny watching it change! Well that is it for now! Get your baby arrival votes in, I'm curious to see what you think!

Feeling REALLY Loved!

Recently we had a few baby showers in preparation for our little guy on the way and we have been overwhelmed with the love and support shown to us!! We had originally planned on just having 2 showers and ended up with 3! I kinda felt greedy accepting the 3rd to be done, but how can you say no to people who just want to celebrate this little life coming to us? Well we couldn't so hence the longest post EVER!!!! I decided to do this all in one post since 3 separate would've taken forever! Hope it doesn't take away the special-ness of any of them, because they were all so wonderful!!! We feel so spoiled and LOVED!

So the first one was thrown for me and baby by my good friends Vanessa and Kati and was attended by my whole ward(practically)!!! I couldn't believe how many people came! And I still feel like it's my birthday every time I go to church cause I leave with gifts every time! They really went all out with the food and decorations, I LOVED IT!! Here are some pics from that night...

My good friend Leslie and I, she is holding my baby's future best buddy(her son) Nolan!

The party babies!! ;) These were the babies who can sit that came to the shower with their mommies! I love this pic!

Playing the "How big is the belly string game!" I think it was Tiffany(or was it Amy?) and Tara who won! Everyone else's strings were way too long! LOL! No one had one shorter than the actual girth of the belly! LOVE IT!!

Marcie, Heather & Jenine enjoying the festivities!

My girlies Laura, Meagan and Janitsy!

I finally own a Hooter Hider! YAY!! Should had that during my early twenties! LOL! Just kidding!! I don't know what I mean by that! The very talented Katie Gunnell made it for me and the cutest little stuffed monkey to match! LOVE IT!

Part of the group in attendance, Kati's house was a perfect location for this cause we were able to spread out a bit! Thanks Kati for hosting!

Kati, Me and Vanessa! We are pretty hot mamas huh? :) Thanks you guys for the awesome shower!

The 2nd shower was thrown for me and the baby by my mom Janine and my mother-n-law Gina, with the help of my sisters Amber, Erin and Seth's sister Justice! We had at my mom's and it was a beautiful afternoon! We were able to hang out in her backyard and really enjoy the nice weather! All the showers had the Lil' Fireman theme cause that is how we are decorating the baby's room... Funny story: As the party was about to get started my sister Amber went to run my nephew to a babysitter around the corner. Well she accidentally locked her keys in the car with the little guy inside! I suggested we call the Fire Dept cause how cool would it be if a fire engine and firemen were there while people were arriving at the shower?! Would have been so cool!! :) My mom decided to be more sensible and call AAA though and the crisis was quickly diverted! Here are some pics from that shower...

My dad the valet for the day! The parking is a little tight where they live so he helped with getting people to the party! Thanks Dad! He did an awesome job on the streamers and punch too! :)

Me and a little fire jacket rain slicker from my mom! Isn't it adorable!?
This made me tear up! It says "Twinkle, Twinkle little star, do you know how loved you are?" Perfect for the baby room from my sister Amber!!! I love it!!!

Me and my Grandma Shirley, my gift assistant!

Me and my 2nd cousin Lauren, she is pregnant with twins and is 2 weeks behind me, which means we will probably deliver around the same time! I think we look pretty close in size too, I actually think I'm bigger! We did in-vitro at the same office! This pic is proof that it works!! :) We are definitely happy customers!

My mom-n-law Gina, me and my mom Janine

Me and my sisters Erin and Amber! Thanks for the wonderful shower, I had a great time and felt so special!

Now to the 3rd and final shower! This one was put on by my good friends Bobbie(we went to high school together and she is the reason I met my dear husband! I owe her a lot!! Even more now!) and Leslie for me, Seth and baby! It was a Co-Ed shower so they added a little tetosterone to man it up a little for the guys! ;) It was so fun to watch the men play the poopy diaper game, the diaper change relay and guess the price of the baby item game(which my brother Tyler did surprizingly well at!)! We had a lot of dear friends come with their spouses and kiddos and we had a really great time! Here are some pics from it...

Getting ready for the diaper change relay game!

Me and my bro Tyler neck and neck!

Seth the last one on the mens team to go realizing that they lost and that he needs a lot more diaper changing experience! :)

Just some of the kiddos at the shower! We had planned to have a bouncer set up in the back yard for them to play in, it was free and waiting in our garage!! But the rain just wouldn't stop!!! Luckily the kids were happy coloring and playing on the stairs and no one(amazingly) got hurt!

This isn't the best pic, but this is Jeremiah(high school friend of mine) and Lindsay(who Seth went to high school with) and their kids Zoe and Ayden's head! :)

This is Zach and Katie, Seth worked with Zach at Emergency Ambulance when we were first married! Zach thought Seth said we were having a girl!! It was so funny!

This is Tommy & Sarah, Seth went to high school and worked with Tommy at a Movie Theatre and they just recently moved close by us and are prego too! She is exactly one month behind me and doesn't look it at all!!! They are waiting to find out the sex! We are excited to see who our little guy will be friends with!

This is Dave(I went through Sales Agent Training with him at AAA) and his wife Kara and Michelle who is the wife of Adam(not in the pic, but worked with Seth at San Pasqual Fire in Escondido).

This is Kelly and Jason Sandefur and their 1 month old baby boy Brody!!! I went to high school with both of them and Jason was a really good friend of mine! We ran into them last year at a Mexican restaurant's karaoke night down the street and realized that we live so close! So excited to have a little boy at the same time as them and have a buddy so close!

Playing the "Poopy Diaper" game! They had to guess what candy was melted in the diaper! It was killing me to watch my father-n-law and dad smell all the diapers! So funny!

Me and my Baby Daddy!!

Seth got to open the gifts this time! It was nice to sit back and relax and I enjoyed watching him have fun doing it!

The little stuffed dalmation for the baby from his Grandma and Grandpa Andres! So freakin cute!

Me and my Daddy and our bellies! :) I love this pic!

Me and Bobbie, Leslie and her family got the flu and didn't want to spread the germs as a party favor so she had to miss out! They did a fabulous job putting on the shower and we had such a fun time seeing all of our friends!

Thanks to EVERYONE for the gifts and love we have felt, we are truly blessed with great friends and family! We love that we can share and celebrate this wonderful time in our lives with you and cannot wait for you to meet our little guy!
