Cheese/Peace!!

Mitch used to be so good at having his photo taken, he would see a camera pointed at him and he knew what to do and was SO GOOD at it!! Then he turned 1. :/ Since then I've been begging and pleading for him to smile , sit still, look at the camera or at least stop crying! UGH!! For his 2 year old photos I got lucky and he just loved the situation I guess and those photos turned out AMAZING! But recently we've learned a trick!! YAYA!! We showed him how to do a peace sign and and say peace at the same time and he loves that, so that gets a cute pose for the cameras most of the time! AND we recently pulled out our old broken camera to play with for practice! He pretends to take photos of us and we show him how to pose!! I love it!! So when I want a photo I let him take one of me if he is being crazy and then I say "Your turn!" and he nicely lets me take one of him!!! BAZINGA!! It is fabulous!!! It also gives us the opportunity to take really cute photos of him with this other camera! ;) Here are samples of what I'm talking about...

Meagan's 5 Year Old Birthday Party!

My friend Meagan turned the big 30 and we wanted to have a fun celebration for her! So Kyra and I decided that doing it like a party for a 5 year old would be perfect!! AND it was!! So fun! We went out to dinner first at our local mexican restaurant Las Palmas and then we came back to our house for the festivities! We played "Pin the Button on the Belly" we had to take advantage of Meagan's baby belly, seriously so hilarious!! Then we played musical chairs and then we took a few swings at the pinata, when I saw few I mean it only took 3 swings to take it down!! Wasn't too sturdy! LOL! Then we finished it off with presents, cake and ice cream and then some Ping Pong! I love how into it we all were, it made it even better and felt like I was a kid again! AND Meagan had a great time and that's what we were going for! HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY MEAGAN!!

Fathers Day Weekend at the Cabin

We spent Fathers Day weekend with some friends at our family's cabin in Crestline, it was really nice and relaxing! We stayed 3 nights and it was nice to have that much time up there and not have to drive home on Fathers Day! Thanks again Mom & Dad for getting this place for the family and letting us host our friends for nice, inexpensive getaways!! It is the BEST, we are so blessed!! We had fun on a small hike to the rocks with the kids and did the lake of course too and at night we had fun playing games(Settlers of course!) and watching movies! Here are photos from the weekend...

A small hike to the rocks!

Mitch was being crazy cause he wanted me to carry him the whole time! Not Seth, just me!! :/ I couldn't tho, he's way too heavy! Sorry buddy, go on a diet! But seriously... How cute are they?! I love it!

All of us, the Hackers joined us the next day!

\Mitch finally gave up whining and crying to have a little fun thankfully!

Settlers!!!

The awesome board!

Learning how to swim

We signed Mitch up for a Mommy and Me Swim Class with a local teacher and we have been doing them the last 2 weeks! We wanted to do them because we will be at the pool, lake and beach all summer and we want him to be safe! She was super affordable and has been so great with Mitch! Other than being right in the middle of naptime which makes Mitch very cranky and Mitch pooping whenever I put a swim diaper on him, it has been awesome! ;) He has really started to get comfortable in the water and jumps all the way in and goes under while holding his breath! He knows how to paddle, kick and float with our help too which will hopefully help him know what to do if he ever gets in trouble! We practiced a lot with showing him to get to the side of the pool and "choo choo" until he reaches steps to get out, see video of that below! He has done so well that the teacher told us we should put him in the 3 year old class, cause she can have him swimmimg on his own! Which would be so great! Luckily that class is at a better time for us too and he has really warmed up to her, so we've decided to go for it! So hopefully this kid will be swimming on his own soon! We're excited for it! Here are photos from the Mommy and Me class(and Daddy too on a couple days!)...

Peace!! Mitch's newest thing, we love it! We need to tech him to not cover of his adorable face with it tho! ;)

Going for the ball, helped to get him excited

Mitch and his fellow students and their teacher Mrs.Calvert, so funny that she is the only one looking at the camera of course!!

And some video...

Here are the photos of the class he did on his own! He did it with his older buddies Jalen, Savvi and Carson, he had a lot of fun being with the big kids! But we only did a week cause we realized that he wasn't going to progress much more than he already had! His teacher said his little legs and arms just can't do what they need to to keep up! ;) We are happy that he is more secure and not as afraid of the water now, but he is cautious which was what we were wanting out of it! Here are the photos...

I made him this swim robe and he loved it as soon as he saw that there were pockets! LOL!

Blueberry Picking

I heard about an awesome blueberry farm in temecula from a friend and had to check it out!! I planned a playgroup trip there and the kids LOVED it and so did the adults! ;) We were able to pick our own blueberries off the bushes and they were SO GOOD!!! Yummy power food! We went back as a family a couple weeks later for movie night at the farm too! We picked berries, ate dinner and watched "Charlotte's Web" off the back of the barn! It was so fun and already looking forward to the future summers of blueberry picking! Here's the photos of our fun...

This is what I've been eating for breakfast, I love this time of year for the amazing ripe fruit - so YUMMY!!
