Memorial Day Fun!

A little late I know, but Happy Memorial Day! Especially to those who have served for our country, I'm so grateful for those who protect our freedoms! We had a really fun and relaxing day! We chilled at home and had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Bills (my parents) and then we went to a BBQ with some friends from our ward! Here are the pics...

Mitchell's Baby Blessing

Two weeks ago Seth blessed Mitchell, it was such a special day that I had looked forward to ever since I got prego! I just knew how awesome it would be to see and hear Seth bless his child! He was so nervous(he really hates to be the center of attention), but he did an awesome job(just like I knew he would)!! Mitch started crying before the blessing got started and I was pleading in my head for him to stop, so Seth wouldn't be frazzled... well Seth just started it up like no big deal and then blessed him to be a calming presence in our lives to help keep us focused... and guess who stop crying after that? Yep, Mitchell! That's when I started crying!! The spirit was truly there and it was so great to share it with our wonderful family, friends and ward! I had the opportunity to bear my testimony afterwards and I (of course)cried all the way through that too! Oh well, blubbering makes it more special right?! ;) That or it makes me look more special! LOL! I'm so proud of my guys and what a fabulous day it was for us! After Sacrament meeting we had friends and family back at our home for brunch(my favorite meal of the day) and it was GOOD!! Sorry.. I love food and especially loved this, so I'm not going to be shy about saying so... it was awesome!!! :) We had waffles(thanks Dad for making them piping hot for everyone!), bacon and spinach quiche, ham, an array of fruit, fruit dip(cream cheese + marshmallow cream = pure heaven!), muffins and cupcakes!! Thanks to everyone who helped get it set up!! Basically it was the best day ever and we were so happy with how everything turned out! Thanks to everyone who came(especially the wonderful men in the circle), we really appreciate the love and support! Now on to the photos, thanks to Sarah for taking these for us!

Mitchell in his blessing outfit!! Isn't it the cutest?! It has "I am a child of God" embroidered on the front of the belt! My sister's wonderful mom-in-law made it for him! She made my temple dress and with the left over material she made this! She let me pick out exactly how I wanted it and it came out so perfect! She is amazing!!! And it will really be a special garment for Mitchell's future family I am sure! During the brunch back at our house Mitch was in his swing, still in his blessing outfit. So I asked my Mom to get him out of it cause I didn't want it to get ruined, so she did. And this is what he did right after he was out of it!! So glad he didn't do it in the outfit! He did the same thing a couple days later when I was getting photos done of him in it and I got it off him without any poop on it thankfully! :)

Daddy's Work!

We are so blessed that Seth has such an awesome job that heloves! But the one hard thing about being a Firefighter is when Daddy is gone for more than one day!! We've had a few of these instances lately with fires and Seth paying back shifts for people that worked for him when Mitch was born! It's sad when Seth is gone and Mitch does something new or his butt gets bigger! LOL! Seth said once that Mitch's butt got bigger since he changed him last! ;) We miss each other so much and rely on video and photo text messages to get us through! But we also get to visit him sometimes and last night was one of those times!! So great! So Mitch and I headed out to the OC to visit Daddy on the job! He was making an awesome dinner(like usual), so he invited us out to enjoy too! It is always neat to see where he works and basically lives while away from home. I always picture it a certain way from stories and when I actually see it it is kinda weird! Like when you read a book and your imagination pictures it one way and then you watch the movie made from it... always different! Dinner was so good and we had a great time hanging out with the guys there and also (of course) getting pics of Mitch and Daddy with the Fire Engine!

Girls Nights Galore!!!!

I love where I live and the ward that I am in! There is always something going on and so I never get bored!!! We have had a ton of get togethers lately including a bachelorette party for our friend Whitney, Dinner and a movie whiles the boys were on Father and Sons campout and another bachelorette party for viewing the premiere of "The Bachelorette"!!! TOO MUCH FUN!! :) Here are the pics from all the fun!!

First off Whitney's Bachelorette Party! It was a fun night with yummy food(the chocolate covered strawberries were to die for!!), fun games and a little racy-ness! Perfect Bachelorette Party!

Next girls night was dinner at BJ's and a movie over at Niki's, we watched Bride Wars! One we all agreed that there was no way our hubby's would have watched with us! It was cute! All the men and the male offspring were on Father and Sons Campouts! Seth went with my Dad, my bros-in-law and their sons to my Dad's ward campout! They had a great time, but Seth came home very tired cause he shared a tent with my Dad and bro-in-law Tracy(who are huge snorers!), we didn't think that one through enough!! LOL! Next year he will have fun taking Mitch I'm sure! Here is a couple pics of us at BJ's...



AND last, but certainly not least!! Was "The Bachelorette" premiere night at Vanessa's!! Always good times when we get together to watch, a little hard to hear but so much fun watching together!

This is our Bachelorette Fantasy Picks Board!! You know like Fantasy Football, but funner!! LOL!! We had a lot of fun picking who we thought would make it to the end, who would get the first impression rose and who would be sent home! Everyone thought that Steve AKA "Bob Sagat" was for sure leaving and he did! It was so funny watching him get all miffed every time she didn't pick him!!! Yay for Girls Nights and my baby who luckily lets me enjoy them still!!

Mitch is 2 Months Old!

Our little guy just keeps on growing and there is no stopping him, so we are just enjoying every second of it that we can!! His little personality has really come out this month, especially since he started smiling and seeing things around him better! He definitely has his Daddy's laid back personality when he is content and Mommy's crazy impatient personality when he is hungry or tired! He really goes 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds and it is pretty funny(at least for now)! We can't help but giggle when he is complaining in his little baby talk with growls, squeals and whines mixed in! Daddy loves to tease him when he is like that, he usually gets pretty ticked at that point... just like Mommy!! Maybe someday Daddy will learn not to do that to us! He is growing like a little weed and we will have his official measurements in a couple days after his 2 month check-up! This is where he will get his shots, I am really not looking forward to that! Luckily Daddy will be with us! He has officially moved into his own room as of Monday night and it is working well so far! He only woke up 2 times these last couple nights - 2:30 and 6:30, so awesome!!! We have been doing the Baby Wise method for getting him on a good schedule and we really like it!! It didn't take very long to get him into it and he is such a happy little baby on it! Thanks Melissa for letting me borrow your book, I definitely need to buy my own copy! We just love our little Mitchell so much and every day is such a blessing with him in it!! Here are A LOT pics from his 2nd month of life...

Our little Glow Worm! Remember Glow Worms.. doesn't he look like one? I bought this Swaddler thing for him cause he was constantly breaking out of his blanket swaddles and waking up from hitting himself in the face! Well not anymore this thing is awesome!!!! I totally recommend! He has managed to inch his way to the edge of his basinet in this thing though and I have found him with his feet resting on the edge, hilarious! I wish I had gotten a pic of it!
