OC Mud Run!

This is way late cause I have been crazy busy and then on vacation(more on that later), but I could not let this pass by without posting about it!!! This was the 1st Annual OC Mud Run and I'm so glad we did it! My first 5k ever, at first I was not really into it... but then decided it would help motivate me to exercise! We did it the "team of 4" way with our friends Emily and Todd Moran! Such a blast with them, they made it so fun!! We really got into it and dressed up! Emily and I made our tutu's, that's right TUTU's! Our husbands are awesome and you know that only a real man can pull off a tutu!! ;) So many people were taking pics of us and I was so glad we went all out for it! The pics really say it all so here they are...

Mitch's 4 Month Check up

We just took Mitch for his 4 month check up yesterday and wanted to post the stats!!
He has had a major growth spurt these last 2 weeks!!! He was only 14lbs, 3 oz the last time we weighed him and now he is 15 lbs, 8 oz! At least he isn't 18lbs like the Dr predicted!! He is now in the 57% for weight and in the 86% for height at 26 and 1/4 inches! His head is in the 93% at 44 and 1/2, I know that isn't inches or centimeters so how do they measure that?! Anyways.. it means our baby's head is big any way you slice it!! LOL!! Just like Mommy's...

Look at that Noggin!!! :) At least his head doesn't look that big... yet! The Dr said he is doing great and was surprised at how social he is and that he is rolling back and forth now!! She said he will be crawling pretty soon! :( NO!!!!!!! He is growing too fast! He was loving the tissue that they roll out onto the table and loving himself in the mirror too! The Dr also told us that we can start giving him rice cereal now if we want. I'm not so sure I want to yet tho, he is already growing way too fast! Anyways everything was great, until shot time!!! I had an appt for myself, so I left him and Daddy to do that! Daddy said he was happy until she did it and luckily she was fast so he was able to cuddle him and he calmed down immediately. Then the nurse left and he said that Mitch started yelling at him! LOL! Like "What the crap Daddy?!!! Why did you let her do that to me?!!" He got him dressed and they came to wait for me and when I came out of my appt he gave me the same treatment!! We got a total kick out of it! It sucks that he has to have shots, but at least he makes it fun! ;) My appt was for my arm/wrist/hand that has been killing me due to lugging around our beefcake, like I thought! I have Tendonitis and they gave me a brace and instructions for taking care of it with ice and Tylenol, they can't do much since I'm nursing! The Dr said it will eventually turn into Arthritis... YAY ARTHRITIS!! (That is sarcastic if you couldn't tell!) Hopefully later then sooner though! All I want is for Mitch and I to stop aging and life would be perfect!

White Water Rafting!!!

A couple weekends ago we had an awesome time White Water Rafting! My uncle and cousins are all river guides, so I have gone numerous times growing up - so much fun, lucky me! This time Josh and Vanessa planned a fun couples trip for our friends! We had a great time camping, we took Mitch and he was so good luckily! A baby in the next camp over... NOT SO MUCH!!! It was crying all night! So annoying when your baby is quiet and you can't even sleep then! Luckily they were quiet the next night, the note from managment(aka Vanessa)probably helped! LOL! We had fun at the rock slides on Friday and then rafted on Saturday, Josh did 3 runs for us(such a stud)! Thanks so much for the great weekend you guys! Here are the pics...

Our Little Guy Is 4 Months Old!

Growing up faster than a speeding bullet, Mitch is 4 months today! Bittersweet! Some of my friends and family have recently had babies and it kills me to see them next to him, knowing that he will never be that small again AND actually realizing how big he is getting! He is such a strong and healthy little guy, we are so glad that he is! He is about 14 and a half pounds now, I'm glad cause at his 2 month appt the Doctor said he was set to double his birth weight by now(that would have been 18 lbs!My arms are hurting as it is!)! We have his 4 month appt tomorrow though, excited to see where he is at! He has become quite an interactive little guy, diving out of people hands, rolling around and grabbing his feet like crazy!! He grunts at me constantly if he is not being entertained or is tired. He is RAVENOUS!! He has his Daddy's metabolism I think, eats so much and still stay slim! Lucky guy! We no longer swaddle him to sleep, he goes down with something silky and that does the trick now! He has a smile on his mug constantly and goes to anyone, luckily for us! We are blessed to have such a happy little boy!! His newest thing is raspberries, which is mostly just spitting all over himself!! If he gets your attention with it he gets the proudest grin on his face like "Look what I can do!" We have also found that he is not very loyal to his food source! He is constantly motor boating Mommy's friends trying to get a little snack here and there, he is a Boob Man - Seth is so proud! He makes us and everyone around him so happy! We love you Mitch, SLOW DOWN!!
