Yet Another Baby Update...

Well I was kinda hoping that the last post would be the last one like it, but he is still inside and no consistent signs of him coming soon! We had an appt yesterday and I was at a 2 and the baby and I couldn't be healthier, so that means we are waiting for him to decide to come! My due date is THIS SATURDAY!!! So close and I would really be a little sad to go over, doesn't he know I'm ready? I want him out so bad, so I can see and cuddle him! I've been doing tricks that don't wear me out as much as last Saturday did including bouncing on my exercise ball, cleaning my house, enemas and still nothing!!! So I'm open to suggestions on how to get him out as long as it isn't drinking Castor Oil, I'm not going to do that!!! They won't induce until I'm a week overdue, so pray for me that he comes soon!! I don't want a 10 lb baby, my hoo ha is getting scared!!

Baby Update!!

No baby yet... I actually had an appointment today, I wasn't supposed to until Monday the 9th but they called me to cancel that one and tried to reschedule for the 11th!! I was so annoyed! I told them nope, get me an appt this week! I can't believe that they think that was okay, I need to have weekly appts at this point to make sure everything is okay!! Argh! Anyways, I'm still 1 and half centimeters! Which I'm really glad about actually, because I have been really sick with an awful cold! I can't imagine giving birth when I can't even breathe correctly! I've had it now for a whole week and it turned really bad on Monday night, I didn't sleep more than a couple hours in not more than 10 minutes stretches - I was so miserable!! I stayed downstairs on the couch so Seth could get a good night's rest for work the next day, when he came down to have breakfast at 4:30 I was so ready for a blessing! I'm so glad I have the Priesthood in my home, it really helped me to feel at peace with whatever is going to be happening with labor and to get some good rest! I slept a good couple hours after that and have luckily caught up a lot since! My head is still really clogged, but it definitely feels so much better than it did that night! I've been taking sudafed and benadryl at night to help me sleep better, but I am so DONE with snot right now!!! I told Seth that I've been tempted to use the bulb sucker we have for the baby cause my nose is so raw! Anyways, sorry to complain so much about this, but it really does suck and being so pregnant has definitely taken a backseat to it! I have no complaints in that dept and will be happy if he stays in till I am rid of this cold! Hopefully both will not be much longer though! :) Cause I am officially ready to meet this little guy!!! While resting this week I've been able to finish up on some small stuff and get organized for his arrival! His room is officially complete! I LOVE how it turned out and glad we were able to accomplish in time! Here are some pics of it...

This is what you see when walking into the room! I hand painted the brick on the wall, we were going to wall paper but it became a hassle to get the paper we wanted so I did it myself! It took a long time, but I'm glad I did it! I finished the little shelf hanging on the wall yesterday and Seth hung it today.

Facing the crib, this wall will eventually have the baby's name above the crib! Once we have chosen his name officially, we are waiting to meet him!

Up close look at the bedding! I made the blanket and the crib bumper(which I finished this week), I'm so glad to be done with it! Wasn't quite sure if I would ever finish it!
This is a view of the opposite side of the room. We are using a dresser I refurbished when I was younger as his changing table and to store the necessities! The window frame on the wall will eventually hold some maternity pics and baby pics, Seth finally got that hefty thing hung today! I love how it turned out, thanks for the great idea Kyra!

View of the closet and our hefty stash of baby clothes and supplies that we were given! That doesn't even show a fourth of what we actually have! So crazy what you need for a baby!

The other side of the closet, not as dramatic cause most of the stuff is hidden in that dresser! :) Even though it took us awhile and a lot of work to get the room together, I'm so glad we did it! This room had been put aside as a "future nursery" for over 3 years and ended up being the room where we stored all our junk! It felt so good to rid ourselves of so much crap and make a fun room for our baby together! Seth did an awesome job on the chair rail, I think it really helps the room look nice!

Along with finishing up the room this week, I also made a Car Seat Blanket! Have you seen these? They are so awesome and a few friends of mine have made them recently for their babies and I really wanted to have one for our little guy so we could bring him home in it!! Well I was able to get it done and here is the finished product...

It's made with slots so the seat belts come thru it so you can buckle easily...

And then wrap them snuggly in it and not be worried about dropping a blanket all the time! Fun huh?! I got the pattern online here and you can check out my friends blog called Inspiration Organization where it is featured here!

We are all set, bags are packed and all I have left is feeling better! So come what may!!

Crazy Bachelor!!!

I don't think I can watch this guy cry one more time!!! So annoying! I watched the season finale and the 1st "after the the final rose" with friends last night and we had a great time watching the "bachelor trainwreck" one more time! I knew what was going to happen cause my hubby came across a leak that was actually true! I had bet that the bachelor would cry at least 10 times during the 3 hour stretch and I lost! He cried about 16 times I think!! He is such a little baby and I was so happy that Melissa really gave it to him! I think Molly will end up regretting going back to him and break up with him and then he will try to date Jillian! LOSER!! Anyways, I watched him on Jimmy Kimmel Live and it was HILARIOUS!!!! Jimmy really made a lot of fun of him! And guess who else was on the show....

NKOTB!!! Oh yeah, my favorite boy band when I was 12!! I actually went to one of their concerts, my favorite was Donny! LOL! They did one of their new songs which I actually liked and then they did "Step by Step" and it just wasn't as good as I remember! LOL! Anyways a really good night of TV! Thanks for having us over Vanessa!

Freaking Out!

So I had a Doctor appointment yesterday, since I'm going to be 38 weeks on Saturday! SO CRAZY that it is almost over! The nurse set me up in the room and said the Dr. would be right in... well I was told last week that from here on out they would be checking me so I asked her "where's the sheet?" She looked confused and said "Oh, um your 37 weeks right?" and I said "Yeah, 38 this Saturday and I was told I was going to be checked..." So she got out a sheet for me and left and I stripped down, she came back a couple minutes later and said "The Dr said don't worry about undressing, she's not going to check you today." And then I got upset!!! What the crap?! So I told her "Uh yeah... she is, cause I need to be and I don't have another appt until February 9th!" I couldn't believe it!! You really have to be so aggressive to get good care, I hate it! I actually really like my OB when she is there, but it seems like she only works once a week and guess who isn't in all next week? Yep, her! So I feel like I'm being left in the dark on knowing where I'm at and I'm going to be one of those people who go into Labor and Delivery 10 times cause they aren't sure!! So she came in and said,"You want to be checked?" and I almost lost it, but calmly replied,"Yes, please I don't have another appt for awhile and I'm starting to feel anxious and would really like to know where I'm at.." So she checked and said I am dilated 1 and a half and 40% effaced with a shocked look on her face! All of a sudden I felt so scared!!! Then she said, "I'm surprised cause most new mothers thin out before dilating... here, I'll stretch you out!" I totally started freaking out and almost screamed for her to stop cause all I could think about is what I still needed to get done at home to be ready!!!! She finished (it didn't even hurt, just slightly uncomfortable which scared me even more)and said to expect contractions and that it could be anytime or I could go to the end... so that was fun! So as I was driving home I was feeling normal tightness and pains I have felt the past week or so and I realized that those are contractions!!!! They were just coming faster and stronger... I feel like an idiot for not knowing what they were! Luckily they died down cause I was really starting to freak out, I'm so not ready to go into labor!!! I hadn't even packed a bag yet!(it's done now though and I've been running around like a crazy person getting the other small things done too!) So now I feel a little more prepared and ready to listen to my body, I think my pain tolerance has been a tad skewed due to what I went thru to get prego! So I really need to be on top of timing my contractions and hopefully I'll make it to the hospital in time for an epidural, cause I don't think my pain tolerance is skewed enough for what my hoo haa is bout to go thru!!! And at that point I will not be biting my tongue!!! Well that is the end to my rant... just needed to get that out, wish me luck! Oh and here is a cute sonogram pic of our little guy! His chubby cheeks kill me! I cannot wait to kiss them!
