VEGAS with my guys!

Our friends the Price's offered us their 2 night reservation at the Luxor a few weeks ago and we of course took it!! Seth took a day off and we made a really fun 3 day trip out of it!! We took the little guy with us cause we were wanting to do family friendly things anyways and we had so much fun! Before heading into Vegas we made a stop at the Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden in Henderson! FREE!! Seth was so happy, as I knew he would be(not only cause it was free but because he has a thing for chocolate and cacti!) We then checked in and rode the crazy diagonal traveling elevators at the Luxor which is when I started feeling nauseous! :( The room was perfect and even had a perfect little spot where we set up Mitch's pack n play and were able to hang a blanket to block him from distractions during sleep time! We then went back in the crazy elevators(which made me even more nauseous) and headed to Fremont Street(the old strip)... where I started feeling sick enough to hurl. Which I did in hopes that I would feel better for the BUFFET OF BUFFETS later in the evening! But I didn't. Double :(!! Our plan was to do the 24 hour "Buffet of Buffets" at 7 participating casino buffets so we could take advantage by starting with a late dinner the first night, then breakfast, lunch and an early dinner the next day! PERFECT!! Except for me not feeling so well.. we still went with our plan tho and I tried to enjoy some gelato at the Rio while watching Seth feast, but it just wasn't happening and I was sick again later! BOO! Oh well. After that we went back to the hotel and Mitch and I went to bed and Seth went to gamble a little. Luckily the next day I felt tons better and was able to enjoy the Buffets a lot more! For breakfast we did the Paris buffet and then went and checked out the M&M store and Coca-Cola store! SO AWESOME! I cannot believe how much stuff there was! We tried a cherry coke float which was pretty good and got some goodies I couldn't resist! Oh and a pic with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, that thing was crazy! Then we walked the strip up to the Madame Tussaud’s wax museum and had a lot of fun there checking it out! Then to the lunch Buffet at Harrah's, Mitch loved this one! Then finally nap time! Nice big family nap! I got a call after that from my mom telling me that Mitch's newest cousin had arrived!! More on that in the next post! I was so excited! We then went to the next buffet, the Rio again since I wasn't able to fully enjoy the night before! We paid an extra $5 to bypass the huge line, so worth it!! And we remembered to bring Mitch's dvd player to keep him occupied during and it was PERFECT! ;) We then went to the Silverton hotel to check out the giant aquarium there, so awesome!! We didn't get to see it, but twice a day on weekends they have mermaids feed the fish in there! After that we went back to Fremont street to watch the "Show in the Sky" which was sweet! And they had an Aerosmith cover band there playing in between the shows that was pretty awesome too! After that we called it a night and got Mitch to bed! Before heading home the next day we went to a place called Hash House A-Go-Go it is a chicken and waffles place that Traci told me about for breakfast! It was SO GOOD!! But I highly recommend sharing! SO MUCH FOOD! Thanks so much Cameron and Traci for giving us your hotel reservation, we had a great time! Check out the MANY pics...

Mitch 15 months!

Mitch is 15 months and walking around so much more! Mostly with our help still though, because he face plants without it. :( He hasn't learned to put out his hands to catch himself when he falls! But he is making progress! He has gotten a butt load of teeth recently and has funny new faces to go along with them, it is like he is learning how to smile with teeth! Super cute! He is SO CURIOUS and serious now and loves to study things by watching, touching and tasting things! But not too much tasting, he is so picky with food now! It is annoying to try and get him to eat! Basically his diet is milk, goldfish, pretzels, veggie sticks, PB & honey sandwiches, yogurt, applesauce and occasional pasta if he is into it! Anything else good luck! He even spits out M&M's! What the?! Oh well! We took him in for a Dr. appt and he is now in the 90th-95th percentile, down just a tad from 95th-97th the last time! Still a big boy, but we knew that! His big ole butt is in size 5 diapers now! So crazy! He loves to try and copy us and what we're doing, especially with the phones and remotes! He cuddles big time with the stuffed toys in his crib, Brobee and Sparky and we find him giving them kisses! SO CUTE! He is a kisser and will kiss on demand!! WE LOVE IT! He is learning how to stand his ground when playing with other kids, he usually is a big pushover but I've been taking him into nursery at church(I stay with him cause he isn't old enogh to be left) and he will now make a fuss or take back what has been taken(toy wise) from him in there. The kids in there are all older and don't realize he is a baby cause he is as big if not bigger than them so it is pretty funny to watch them interact! It took him a few weeks to realize what was going on! He recently shoved a little boy that was up in his face and I (well the kid too)was in shock! He doesn't quite get his own strength just yet! In other less competitive situations he is still very sharing! Especially with food, he would feed others all day and loves to borrow and share his sippy cups! Yep! We just let the germs flow around here, we try but he and his little friends are OBSESSED with each others sippy cups! He is officially out of his cage(the play yard we corralled him in)! He just started pushing it around and we found him the other day with it collasped on its side! :( NOOOOOOOOO! So he now has free reign of the family room and kitchen at all times... we knew it would happen eventually. HE LOVES LOVES LOVES anything water, especially playdays at the pool! He just hangs onto the edge of the kiddy pool and walks around it and also loves to play in the sprinkler area! That's all I can think of, especially cause I've done this way late! Oh well, on to the cute pics from the last month!

Family Time

You know what is a major blessing in my life? That my parents and Seth's parents and our families get along so well! We all live here in Socal and are able to get all together a few times a year and it is SO NICE!! We were able to do just that a few Sundays ago for music and stories at the Muck in Fullerton. So entertaining and relaxing! We had a yummy picnic and really enjoyed each others company! This time it was us, Seth's family and my parents and we had a celebration for both of our parents anniversaries(a week and a year apart) and an early Fathers Day celebration for the Grandpas. We are super blessed to both have parents that have been married for 35+ years! What great examples they are of what it takes to make a happy marriage work and last! In a world that doesn't quite get that anymore, it is so refreshing! I know witnessing their examples of marriage really makes our marriage more important to us and so worth getting through the hard times together to be able to enjoy the really good times together! :) So before I get even more mushy, here are the fun pics from our nice day together..

The day of birthday parties!

Mitch and I (Seth was working.. BOO!)had the pleasure of attending 3 kids parties in 1 day!! One for our friend Jalen who turned 2, another for Mitch's cousin Kayla who turned 1 and also for our friends Reese and Nathan(sister and brother with the exact same birthday - crazy huh?!) who turned 1 and 3! They luckily were at all different times and we were able to enjoy all of them for the most part! Mitch got a little crazy at the last one, especially after face planting on the patio! Oh well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad! ;) Here are the photo overload from the day!
