McArthur Annual Picnic

Every year our family and the greater McArthur family(my mom's side) gets together for a family picnic around my Grandpa Mac's birthday! We always have fun catching up with each other and playing games! Here are some pics from that day..

Bills Family Summer Trip 2010!!

This year for the Bills Family Summer Trip, my parents got a cabin by Lake Gregory. It was perfect since it was only an hour away from home, so the people that still had to work a couple days could still make it without too long of a drive! We spent 4 days there and luckily had a space where Mitch could sleep easily, although he didn't fall for it the first night. :( That was a true test of my patience!! He could see us and just wouldn't stop crying unless he was in bed (a full bed mind you)with us.. which would have been fine except he wouldn't go to sleep there either! So he was either in bed with us playing or screaming in the pack n play and he screams really loud and I didn't want to wake up everyone else.. so I was up the whole night with him. UGH, never again! We decided if he was like that the next night that we would just go home. So the next night we did all that we could to make it better: doped him up with Benadryl and hung a sheet to section off the room so he couldn't see us! And luckily that worked, that or he was so exhausted from getting no sleep the night before.. oh well, either way we were satisfied! Other than that we had such a fun time with the family, eating, playing games, holding baby T, hiking to Heart Rock(yes I hiked!), hanging out at Lake Gregory and going down the deadly slides there(they look harmless but they slam you against the wall and eat your sunglasses! LOL!), more eating, playing more games and laughing A LOT! Thanks Mom and Dad for another memory making trip! Here are the pics we got...

Ghetto Mountain!!

Years ago after a really bad trip to Magic Mountain where our backpack was stolen with our camera(Don't worry, I got the camera back! Yep its how I roll! Do not mess with me!!), keys and other things(we had to wait for those to be turned into lost and found later that night to be able to go home).. we decided we would never again return to "Ghetto Mountain". Well we now have to eat our words!! We went again, it is still as ghetto as ever!! BUT we had such a fun time with our good friends the Wootens!! We started out the day in an hour long line just to PARK!! Then in another hour long line to purchase tickets.. then another half hour line to use the restroom!! It was ridiculous!!! We ended up finally getting on the first ride at 2:30, mind you we left home at 9:30am! By 6 pm we had only gone on 2 more rides, so total of 3 rides for the whole day!! So not worth the trouble!! But then we noticed the SINGLE RIDER LINE!! Awe Yeah!! We realized that if we were ok with not sitting next to each other(which we were)on the rides we could get on so much faster!! Like TONS faster! LIKE WE DIDNT HAVE TO WAIT AT ALL FASTER!! BOO YA! So in a matter of 3 hours we went on 8 more rides, some 3 times each!! It only took us the time to walk to each ride to get on them!! Some of them like X2 didn't have a single rider line, but we made our own ("ghetto style") and WA LA we were on the ride next!! So freakin awesome!!! That seriously made the day 100% better AND so worth it!! So remember our trick when you go to Ghetto Mountain next time, single rider lines baby(usually you have to go in the exits of the rides to access, just FYI)!! Here are the fun pics from the day...

Laura and I waiting in the bathroom line. Too bad the single rider line trick doesn't work there too! ;)

Me and my handsome man!

Seth smooshing me as we are attempting and failing at a cute group shot! LOL!

In line for Riddlers Revenge (before we discovered SINGLE RIDER LINE)entertaining ourselves and a few others behind us in line, by making fun of the over the top PDA couple in front of us!

A Year and a Half!

Mitch is 18 months now and I just can't believe it!! He is growing up so fast!! He makes me so happy, but he also makes me so crazy sometimes! Like yesterday at church when he was screaming during Sacrament meeting cause he wanted to run around. So since he was already screaming, I pinched him while I was dragging him out! Does that make me a bad mom? Probably... I had to really take a deep breath to not join him in the tantrum he threw afterwards! Luckily he also has other very wonderful and sweet moments that get me through the crazy ones! He definitely has personality and knows how to work us over with being cute or extremely stubborn! Seth and I are working as a team in the battle of who is boss though and I think we are winning.. well at least in the lead! We had the battle of the century(I truly hope it doesn't get worse than that!) over him wearing a leash at CA Adventure 2 weeks ago and we were pretty embarrassed about the show he put on, but we stuck to our guns and didn't let him win. It was so hard, but we got our reward later when he wore the leash with no problem!! YAY!! We enjoy parenting him for the most part and definitely discuss and decide together how and what we want for him. I think that is what helps me so much, to know that Seth is behind me and I know it helps Mitch not be confused. He is really starting to understand what we are saying(even though he isn't always following) and consistency is going to be our best bet with him I think!! This little man is STUBBORN!!! Mitch is dancing a lot now and it is so cute!! He loves to do "Ring around the rosey" and will fall down at the end, right on cue! He has fallen in love with slides! A few months ago he wanted nothing to do with them, but now he does all on his own! He is pretty much running everywhere now, as fast as his chubby body can take him! We get a kick out of how funny it is to see his cheeks shaking as he runs around! So funny! He has become more cuddly and clingy this last month, which we LOVE!! We went away without him for a few days for our anniversary and by the last day I was so sad to be away from him!! Seth was getting annoyed at how many times I said I missed him! :) I can't help it! He seriously is my everything and I'm so blessed and happy that he is mine! Here are ALOT of pics and video from this last month and some pics I took of him today!

With his uncle Brian and Tyler playing in the pool at a family party! He had so much fun with them!
